Considerations for raising our Bettas. Part IV "Objective"

A very important question that should raise any future breeder is: What I want to achieve with my breeding program?

We must get reproductive goals, but these should not be too high for us to reach them. We must focus on a target. Each color or shape is itself a big challenge, so we have to focus on one or a few lines.

Experience has shown time and again that ultimately, only betta breeders have been limited to a few lines, are successful in shows.

Evita start with the combination of mutations. A "Black Lace Green Dragon", a "Fancy Red Monster" or "Serenade" by giving examples, bettas are beautiful and fantastic, but both genetic and Reproduction is complicated. And to understand the genetics and reproduction, we must first become familiar with the basics of farming.

If you really want to raise serious, thought to be a long and hard and face of the bat to a mutation of these characteristics may be worse you do the advanced. All colors are beautiful, but to develop a mutation have to develop a special interest in it and all its details. Also, remember they are only "trendy colors" try to keep them away from your breeding lines.

Just as we have just enter the world of bettas, can easily fall into the weirdness and diversity. Certainly not a bad thing to feel attracted by these new colors, but if you just want a way to enjoy, keep only a single copy or two but the same sex with the desired colors, to avoid falling into temptation: P

will always be disputes in this regard. So we must be very objective about our goals. Keep in mind that the ultimate goal should be a strong and healthy animal. "Strong" does not necessarily mean "big", small animals can be robust and strong. Make no mistake, we must be careful the selection of our dogs for breeding.
